Moms ground meat sauce
It’s time to let the rest of the world in on one of moms secret family recipes, this is the best recipe ever to eat with pasta. It’s the one I grow up with and the one I use for my homemade pizzas, filling in pancakes etc. It’s also a good base recipe where you can add mushroom, onions, garlic, tomatoes, etc. But for me, it’s perfect just the way it is.
Moms ground meat sauce
Ingredients
400 g of ground mince
2,5 g allspice
2,5 g white pepper
2.5 g ginger
0.5 tsp salt
0.5 tsp sugar
2 tablespoons flour (for making a roux)
1 beef cube
3 dl milk
soya (neutral one, it’s just for the brown colour)
How I do it
Fry the ground mince in butter until the meat has a nice color. Add the spices, the flour and the beef cube. Stir it in the pan, mix everything up then add the milk and let it all boil for 2-3 minutes.
Taste it and if you find it to blend, try adding a little bit more of the species (it’s not meant to be spicey, just tasty). At last you add the soya, enough to get that nice tasty looking brown color.
Serve with your favourite pasta and some cheese on the top.
